Our projects will keep you challenged and motivated and push you towards being a top-notch developer. You will be expected to identify the value and long-term benefit of the code standards and follow them to cope with the underlying requirements of the team, which is to deliver solutions that are scalable, easily testable, maintainable, and extensible.

  • Ruby on Rails
  • MVC Web Technologies
  • RESTful APIs
  • Scripting Languages – Ruby | PHP | Python | Elixir | Node.js

Whilst the above is just a snapshot of what we use daily, we would be looking for you to be comfortable working across the full stack and understanding how all the pieces fit together (front-end, middleware, backend, network, etc.) and how they impact the performance of your application.

Challenges you will be working on

On a day-to-day basis, you will be evolving and maintaining the current CMS Platform developed in Ruby on Rails to a scalable and flexible multi-brand system. We need you to write code with a focus on its usability, simplicity, performance, and scalability; we have a global footprint.

You will be participating in the full development cycle, from innovation to code reviews to delivery to production and then creating and maintaining quality software using best practices in a continuous integration and delivery environment and with a focus on delivering on business functionality for a rapidly evolving product, balancing speed, and performance with consistency.

Who you are

Ideally you will have mid to senior-level software development experience for Web and be an expert in MVC web technologies and RESTful APIs. Additionally, you will need a practical understanding of data structures and design patterns and experience with the development of APIs for complex domains.

You’ll be a good problem solver with attention to detail and critical thinking skills along with experience of performance tuning and optimisation, in addition to being up-to-date and capable of keeping the pace with the latest trends and technologies in web development.

Our team

Whilst you will be working with colleagues in a multi-cultural working environment from our bright, modern offices in District XIII you will also be liaising with your colleagues across multiple sites, so you’ll need to be a good team player, with excellent communication skills.
