We are BVGroup, one of the world’s largest independently owned Sports Betting and Online Gaming brands and an industry leader in betting innovation with customers from over 150 different countries.

We’re on a quest to find an Analytics Manager to join us here in our Gibraltar or London office and help overhaul our approach to providing our commercial teams with actionable insights in an efficient and impactful manner.

The Role.  

  • Reporting directly into the Head of Analytics you will oversee a growing team of Insight Analysts responsible for the delivery of BetVictor’s commercial reporting to frontline teams.
  • Providing support to stakeholders with defining the real business requirements for analytical requests.
  • You will be managing, coordinating, and mentoring a team of analysts responsible for Payments, Finance, CRM, and Marketing reporting lines.
  • Proactively identifying areas in which the business needs analytical help ensuring that best value is delivered through justification and measurement.
  • Working with your team you will also be deciding on the analytical approach for a particular solution and conducting the analysis.
  • Additionally, you will also outline the purpose and design of the multiple reporting dashboards used within BetVictor and helping to shape robust statistical analysis procedures into the business.

Who you are.

You will need to be a strong communicator as well as analytical, and someone who can communicate with stakeholders and teams across the wider business providing valuable recommendation from multiple sources of data.

You will also need to be comfortable working in collaboration with Data Science and Analytics Engineering assisting with regular quality audits to ensure that any data bugs are quickly identified and rectified with our data engineering teams.

What you will need.

  • Expertise at selecting the right metric for the right problem, and communicating these effectively, even to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A high level of numeracy, able to translate business problems into data problems and design analytical products which help the business answer these questions at scale.
  • Dashboards creation and data visualisation via Tableau.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and Advanced Excel.
  • Able to enhance data and analytics and explore new techniques, working with tools such as Python and R.
  • Commercial mindset, attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate at all levels with a range of internal stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in creating and delivering statistical training and mentoring junior team members.

Whilst the above is just a snapshot of we need on a day-to-day basis, it would be nice if you also had any of the following:

  • Sports Betting or Online Casino knowledge
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Educational qualifications in a Scientific or quantitative field.
