We're currently seeking an Insight Analyst with an excellent knowledge of querying data using SQL, preferably with Big Query to join our BI analytics and reporting team, to guide and support business decisions with analytical insight via BI reporting suite.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Assisting stakeholders in defining their analytical and reporting requirements.
- Defining BI’s own data requirements to fulfil stakeholders’ requests.
- Construction and maintenance of the reporting estate (i.e. Tableau dashboards and other reports).
- Conducting/automating analysis to guide and support business decisions.
- Challenging existing business processes, finding deficiencies and opportunities to improve.
Key Working Relationships:
- Supporting the Reporting & Analytics function (and BI generally) to help prioritise workload and team objectives.
- Working with stakeholders to identify their priorities and concerns, define good requirements, and provide visibility on the progression and timescales of work relating to them.
- Working with the data warehouse team to get the data BI need.
Person Specification, Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
- Analytical skills to contextualise business needs and generate insights.
- Scientific technique and approach to problem-solving.
- Strong knowledge of querying data with SQL (ideally in Big Query or similar data base engines),including the ability to work with complex data structures.
- Able to manipulate, analyse, interpret, and present data efficiently.
- Experience in Python or R, Excel, and Tableau.
- Understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
- Proactive, independent, responsible, eager, and willing to learn.
Ideal Attributes:
- Gambling industry experience and commercial awareness.
- Extensive knowledge of sports betting and online casino games.
- Experience of creating workbooks in Tableau.
- Experience using Big Query and Google Cloud Platform.
- Degree in scientific or quantitative field.
