We are seeking a Regulatory Compliance Analyst (Ontario) to support the Head of Regulatory Governance (Ontario) with ensuring the licensing objectives in relation to offering gambling services in a fair and open way are upheld.

Working closely with local and wider stakeholders, the Compliance Analyst will ensure that all customer facing products and channels are compliant with regulatory codes, legislation and licensing obligations. Forming a key part of this role, the Compliance Analyst will assist in the completion of regulatory reports, as well as conducting regular reviews of website and marketing content. 

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • To ensure compliance with all licensing objectives, to ensure BetVictor offers gambling services in a fair and open way to customers.
  • To ensure ongoing compliance with all of the Ontario AGCO’s Registrar’s Standards for Internet Gaming.
  • To ensure compliance with all regulations issued by iGaming (iGO) Ontario including finance, AML, and Responsible Gambling.
  • To manage and complete the suite of regulatory reports issued by both iGaming Ontario and AGCO. This includes recommending improvements to streamline internal processes around reporting.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of key processes to identify any deviations or anomalies. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the monitoring process.
  • To periodically review promotions, terms and conditions templates, creative content, digital and social media both before promotions go live and during the promotional period.
  • To provide targeted training to all marketing and content related teams around marketing regulations and their responsibilities and to raise awareness of the compliance culture required by everyone responsible for gambling advertising.
  • To ensure that the BetVictor marketing offering remains competitive whilst also ensuring compliance standards are met. The ideal candidate should have a strong awareness of the market changes in the industry and feel confident making recommendations to the marketing team on how to improve their offering whilst remaining compliant.
  • To monitor all channels and website content for compliance with regulations and responsible gaming messaging.
  • To monitor regulatory updates and guidance and ensure that any required actions are communicated to the Head of Regulatory Governance (Ontario);
  • To draft Notifications to be sent to the AGCO and iGO as necessary.
  • Maintain a Regulatory Repository of guidance material, updates, and industry news; and
  • To assist the Compliance Project Management team with implementing compliance projects in relation to customer facing products.

You will also need to have a good understanding of the Registrar’s Standards and an ability to communicate these requirements clearly and concisely through training workshops to teams throughout the organisation.

In addition, you should have an awareness of the current remote gambling environment and the challenges for the industry. They will be able to work independently to tight deadlines on multiple projects and take responsibility for ensuring compliance with all necessary requirements.
