Role Overview:
The Acquisition Manager is primarily responsible for delivering brand revenue growth with a primary focus on aligning the marketing strategy with the broader commercial goals of talkSPORT BET across UK, Ireland and Canada. This role demands proactive management of various digital marketing channels and initiatives to ensure alignment with the company's overall objectives and compliance standards.
You will collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Team in their deployment of the marketing spend across various channels; ensuring that returns for the brand are maximised. You will also manage key relationships with talkSPORT as our B2B partner.
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
Market Analysis and Strategic Planning
Conduct market research and analysis to guide the brand strategy. Responsible for the analysis and reporting of channel and campaign performance to inform future strategies.
Marketing Strategy Development
Lead the development of a comprehensive marketing strategy, while collaborating with the Digital Marketing Team for relevant areas, focused on customer acquisition, setting objectives, KPIs, and budgets. Provide guidance and approval of channel-level strategies ensuring alignment with the overall brand strategy.
Profitability
Maximise profitability across performance and brand channels through effective management of the marketing mix across all marketing (Acquisition, Retention and ATL), meeting set NGR, ROAS, and profit metrics within the assigned budgets.
Budget Management
Determine the most effective digital channels for targeting potential customers and define budget allocations accordingly. Manage the overall digital marketing budget ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
Offer and Proposition Strategy
Define and implement the offer and proposition strategy ensuring its alignment across the marketing mix. Collaborate with Promo Ops to set up offers for channel implementation and deliver for use within channels.
Creative and Offer Management
Oversee the development and management of engaging content and offers across digital marketing channels. Ensure the value and profitability achieved through offers meets required standards.
Conversion Rate Optimisation
Manage the creation and setup requirements for non-product conversion elements, inclusive of the app stores and landing pages. Plan and execute on conversion rate optimisation experimentation for these areas while adhering to and developing on brand guidelines.
Above the line / Brand Marketing
Develop and oversee ATL marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility and reach. Manage the ATL budget, ensuring optimal allocation across media channels. Collaborate with media agencies for effective ad placements and negotiate terms. Oversee the creative direction for campaigns and integrate ATL activities with digital efforts to ensure cohesive marketing execution. Monitor campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies based on performance data.
Reporting
Responsible for the ongoing analysis and reporting of all ATL and digital marketing activities, ensuring high visibility of campaign performance and strategic outcomes to senior management and stakeholders. Implement and maintain robust reporting systems to track key marketing metrics and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Compliance
Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Ensure the required approvals and workflows are consistently adhered to at the highest standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work with multiple internal departments to remove blockers to revenue generation and facilitate growth. Represent your brand in cross functional initiatives – including creative, product, technology, business insights to name a few.
Additional Skills and Qualifications:
• 2-3 years’ experience working within an acquisition function
• Demonstratable knowledge across multiple acquisition channels across above-the-line and performance marketing
• Proven experience in digital marketing and acquisition strategy development.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with marketing metrics and reporting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with various stakeholders.
• Knowledge of the online gambling industry and its regulatory environment preferred.
