As the Head of Display Marketing at BVGroup, you will play a pivotal role in leading and developing the company’s display marketing strategy, focusing on driving growth across multiple paid channels, including programmatic advertising, paid social, and direct display buys.
You will be responsible for scaling display channels, identifying new opportunities, and aligning these efforts with broader brand strategies to deliver measurable revenue growth.
The Head of Display Marketing will manage a team of talented professionals, mentor them to meet KPIs, and collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the successful execution of large-scale campaigns that drive both customer acquisition and retention.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic vision with hands-on experience in display marketing, ensuring the team’s efforts are data-driven, scalable, and focused on delivering a significant impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Channel Strategy & Expansion: Develop a comprehensive display marketing strategy that includes paid social, programmatic advertising, and direct buy opportunities. Identify and bring new display channels into the mix, staying ahead of digital marketing trends to ensure BVGroup remains at the forefront of display innovation. This includes assessing market trends, emerging platforms, and opportunities for expansion across new geographies and territories.
- Campaign Development & Optimisation: Lead the creation and optimisation of display campaigns that target key customer segments and align with brand strategies. Oversee end-to-end campaign management, from strategic planning to execution, and ensure all campaigns meet performance KPIs such as return on investment (ROI), customer acquisition cost (CAC), and engagement rates. Drive constant optimisation through A/B testing, audience segmentation, and advanced data analytics.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Define and monitor success metrics for all display campaigns, ensuring comprehensive performance reporting is in place. Provide detailed insights into campaign effectiveness, highlighting actionable recommendations for future improvements. Present findings to senior leadership to demonstrate how display marketing drives overall business growth.
- Leadership & Team Management: Provide strong leadership to the Display Marketing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and results. Mentor team members, helping them develop their skills while ensuring alignment with BVGroup’s overall business objectives. Set and monitor individual and team KPIs, ensuring high performance across all levels.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Brand, Creative, and Data teams to ensure that display marketing efforts are fully integrated with product launches, promotional campaigns, and brand positioning strategies. Work with the User Acquisition team to ensure a seamless user journey from display impressions to customer acquisition, ensuring a holistic marketing approach.
- Budget & Resource Management: Own and manage the display marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently and campaigns are executed within the budgetary constraints. Continuously evaluate spend against results, making real-time adjustments to maximise the return on investment across all display activities.
- Vendor & Partner Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and partners, including ad tech platforms, DSPs (Demand-Side Platforms), media agencies, and creative agencies. Ensure that BVGroup’s partnerships deliver maximum value in terms of media efficiency, technology advancements, and creative execution.
- Innovation & Thought Leadership: Stay on top of industry developments, continually researching new technologies, platforms, and display marketing strategies that could benefit BVGroup. As the leader of this team, you will champion innovative approaches to display marketing, ensuring BVGroup remains competitive and ahead of industry trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on display marketing, programmatic advertising, and paid social.
- Proven track record of leading and scaling display marketing efforts, with demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through paid channels.
- Deep expertise in ad tech platforms such as Google Display Network, Facebook Ads, and DSPs, with a solid understanding of the latest developments in programmatic advertising.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to optimise performance, manage budgets, and deliver actionable insights.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and mentoring teams to meet both individual and team objectives.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex marketing concepts to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- A collaborative mindset, with a proven ability to work cross-departmentally with creative, data, and brand teams.
- Knowledge of the gaming or sports betting industry is advantageous but not required.
