Director of Operations (hiring on behalf of B2B Partner) | Gibraltar | Onsite

We are recruiting a skilled Director of Operations on behalf of our B2B Partner to drive a new venture in collaboration with BVGroup, based in Gibraltar. In this role, you’ll oversee daily operations for the Rest of the World territories across customer service, risk and fraud, payment processing, and reconciliations.

Reporting directly to our B2B Partner’s COO, you will lead with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Expertise in iGaming, particularly Casino and Sportsbook, as well as fraud prevention and payments, will be essential to your success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Team Development
  • Build, train, and lead the Operations Team in Gibraltar, establishing workflows aligned with the project’s goals and strategic direction.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment that supports professional growth and boosts employee engagement.
  • Embrace and promote the company’s vision and values, setting the standard for excellence and integrity within the Gibraltar team.
  • Drive inter-departmental collaboration, ensuring efficient communication and smooth cross-functional workflows.
  1. Operational Excellence and Process Optimisation
  • Collaborate closely with the project leadership team to design and implement processes that improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Partner with department heads to align operational activities with the company’s strategic objectives, providing regular feedback and progress updates to senior management.
  • Monitor team performance against KPIs, providing guidance to meet and exceed targets.
  • Implement and maintain a robust Quality Assurance framework, delivering regular reports for business stakeholders.
  1. Stakeholder and Vendor Management
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including other departments and senior management, to foster effective collaboration.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including vendors and service providers, to support smooth operations across customer services, risk management, fraud prevention, and payment processing.
  1. Compliance and Regulatory Oversight
  • Ensure all operational processes align with the company’s risk tolerance and comply with relevant regulations around customer service, responsible gambling, anti-money laundering, and fraud prevention.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Team to implement policies and procedures that adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  1. Reporting and Issue Resolution
  • Provide senior management with regular reports on operational performance, highlighting key metrics, trends, and areas for improvement.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner, ensuring satisfaction and providing the business with insight into potential improvements.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience: 3+ years in operations management within iGaming, with strong knowledge of Sportsbook, fraud prevention, and payment processing.

Leadership: Proven ability to manage and inspire teams, with a focus on process optimisation and automation.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with industry regulations and a strong commitment to compliance.

Communication Skills: Excellent ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
