QA Automation Engineer - Native | Remote (Europe)

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Native Automation QA Engineer to join our Native Integration Team. The ideal candidate will drive the automation efforts for our native iOS applications, working with tools and frameworks like XCUITest and Swift.
You will be working in close collaboration with the other senior Android Automation Engineer and cooperate and align automation strategies. This role is perfect for someone with experience in native mobile automation who is eager to contribute to building robust test automation frameworks and extending regression coverage across multiple apps.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automation test suites for native mobile applications (iOS) using tools like XCUITest and Swift
- Extend regression test coverage to ensure product quality across multiple apps
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to align on testing strategies and goals
- Work independently on automation projects while contributing to team efforts
- Write high-quality, maintainable code for automation scripts following industry standards
- Perform manual testing when needed to replicate and investigate issues detected by automated tests
- Support the team during release cycles and assist in delivering new features with high quality
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools
- Contribute to improving overall testing processes and methodologies
- NodeJS API testing knowledge is a plus. Understanding of client-server interactions is beneficial
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in native mobile automation testing iOS (Android optional), with a strong focus on tools like XCUITest (Appium optional) or similar frameworks
- Solid understanding of mobile application testing principles and best practices
- Proven ability to build and maintain test automation frameworks for native applications
- Strong coding skills in Swift with an emphasis on creating efficient, reusable, and maintainable test scripts.
- Java/Ruby for Android automation knowledge is a plus
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab) for integrating automated tests into the development workflow
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers and other QA manual and automation engineers
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality software
