Senior Display Marketing Executive | Gibraltar | On-Site

We are looking for a Senior Display Marketing Executive to lead the execution, optimisation, and reporting of programmatic display and video campaigns across multiple platforms and brands.

Reporting to the Display Marketing Manager, you will take ownership of campaigns across platforms such as The Trade Desk, Xandr, Amazon Ads, Taboola, and more. You’ll be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, campaign performance, and innovation in execution.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll guide junior team members and help shape best practices, test strategies, and overall media effectiveness. This position also requires the Senior Executive to be highly analytical, using data insights to optimise performance and improve campaign efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in digital marketing, with a focus on programmatic advertising, and will be comfortable leading junior team members in day-to-day operations while delivering on key performance metrics.


Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution & Optimisation:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of programmatic campaigns across platforms such as The Trade Desk, Xandr, Teads, Taboola, Sportradar, Genius, Google Ads, CM360.
  • Ensure campaigns are executed according to plan, and continuously optimise targeting, bidding, and creatives to achieve maximum performance.
  • Work closely with the Display Marketing Manager to implement strategies that meet business objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on platform capabilities, campaign mechanics, and tactical delivery.

Strategic Planning & Cross-Channel Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Brand, Creative, and Data to ensure that programmatic campaigns are aligned with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Align campaign execution with wider marketing strategies, product launches, promotions, and brand messaging.
  • Work closely with the Display Marketing Manager to translate business goals into actionable campaign strategies.

Agency Partnership & Direction:

  • Lead relationships with external media agencies, providing detailed campaign briefs, performance goals, and creative direction.
  • Ensure agencies adhere to performance expectations, maintain delivery accuracy, and report actionable insights.
  • Review and evaluate agency reports, providing feedback and guiding optimisations.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Analyse daily and weekly performance data using DSP dashboards, ad servers, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, CM360).
  • Deliver clear, actionable performance reports with insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify trends and propose strategic changes based on campaign data.

Budget Ownership & Pacing:

  • Monitor campaign budgets and spending across all platforms, ensuring efficient and effective use of marketing spend.
  • Recommend budget reallocations based on channel performance and emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure pacing aligns with campaign duration and spend targets.

Creative Strategy & Testing:

  • Work with the creative team to develop compelling ad creatives that drive user engagement and conversions.
  • Lead A/B testing initiatives to identify the most effective creatives, messaging, and formats, and implement findings to improve overall campaign performance.
  • Ensure that all creatives are aligned with brand guidelines and business objectives.

Innovation & Best Practices:

  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations in programmatic and digital advertising, privacy regulations, and DSP feature updates.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to improve campaign performance through new tools, techniques, and channels.
  • Ensure that all campaigns adhere to industry best practices and internal guidelines, and work with the team to implement innovative strategies that keep BV-Group ahead of the competition.
  • Support team education and contribute to building a scalable playbook of best practices.

Stakeholder Communication:

  • Act as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are kept informed about campaign progress, performance, and results.
  • Provide clear and concise updates on key metrics, insights, and recommendations during regular meetings and presentations.

 
Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing, with a focus on display and programmatic advertising.
  • Proven ability to manage high-budget campaigns and complex media-plans.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data to optimise campaign performance and improve key metrics such as ROI and CAC.
  • Proficiency in ad tech platforms, such as Google Analytics, DSPs, ad servers and other digital advertising tools.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously.
  • A team player with strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work closely with other departments such as Creative, Brand, and Data.
  • Experience in A/B testing and performance-based optimisation.
  • Knowledge of the sports betting, gaming, or entertainment industry is a plus but not required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights to senior stakeholders.
