Delivery Manager - Compliance | Gibraltar – On-site / London and Budapest – Hybrid/Remote

We are BVGroup a dynamic team that's shaping the future of online sport betting and gaming. We're dedicated to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence and as a leading global brand, we're committed to delivering top-tier products and services to our customers.

Purpose of the role:

Our Compliance Delivery Managers are passionate about analysing and driving initiatives in alignment with BVGroup’s roadmap and strategic goals and continuously improving their personal work practices to increase the effectiveness of our engineering organisation.

You are capable of moving fluidly from the big picture to the smallest detail so that the team you are supporting can break down, understand and deliver complex projects, often with tight deadlines.

You work collaboratively, empower and influence people to adjust their actions towards a common purpose to allow engineering to be better, faster and smarter about software that delivers business value.

You break through communication issues and develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.

Your role requires you to have a deep Compliance product knowledge, to act as 1st line of support when issues occur, to manage partner relationships and to act as a bridge between engineering teams and product and operational teams.

You are an expert in Compliance, contribute to product discovery and solution design, support queries related to feature functionality and technical implementation.

You are capable of juggling multiple concurrent conversations with different people about complex topics, arranging calls when necessary to discuss things further and reach resolutions.

You will always consider the bigger picture when planning and delivering new projects, in particular the fact that we are expanding our B2B operations, so that you do not fall into a pattern of having a “BVGroup-centric” view.

You understand and accept that no project goes according to plan, no project is executed under the ideal circumstances, no documentation is perfect. Above all, you understand that it is in your power to try and change what doesn’t add value. It is in your power to influence others by being an actor and showing how it’s done.

You can keep yourself motivated, in high spirits and a good influence on others that surround you. You are consistent, even though every initiative delivered could always have been done better, more optimized, and with less frustrations.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Support one or more cross-functional feature teams to deliver new features and functionalities across the BVGroup compliance platform.
  • Analyse business requirements and liaise with product owners and engineering managers to build an understanding of the work efforts, dependencies and sequence required to deliver a project and devise attainable milestones with the team. Track progress, spot and evaluate risks, and communicate status to management and project stakeholders. Engage and energise the feature teams to achieve aggressive goals.
  • Establish solid communication channels with Engineering leadership and work to always incorporate a long-term vision on the approach to projects, so that extensibility of the platform is not compromised by implementing “fast-and-dirty” solutions.
  • Proactively remove obstacles to drive momentum and progress. Manage issue escalations and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities.
  • Improve product development and delivery. Facilitate knowledge management and communication so each project delivers better than the last.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve the team by being a trusted advisor, facilitator, and creative problem solver.
  • Proactively discuss with your peer’s process optimisations, tools, and best practices that can be adopted throughout the organisation.

Desirable Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Project Management or STEM background - University degree and/or experience working in a relevant role.
  • Analytical — you easily understand complex concepts and make reasoned decisions with sometimes imperfect data.
  • Communication — excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can influence and motivate people, and are comfortable speaking about complex subjects to a large audience.
  • Highly organised — you have excellent organisational skills to juggle many tasks without losing sight of the highest priority items.
  • Strategic mindset — you’re comfortable thinking a few steps ahead of where the team is at now.
  • Balanced Business/Technical competency. Ideally you have strong technical aptitude and an ability to understand technical designs, challenges and risks. Engineers enjoy working closely with you.
  • Results oriented. Detail oriented. Driven. Take initiative without being asked. You get things done.
